You are invited to attend our exclusive NSA member webinar by Dr Meron Lewis
Cost and affordability are important drivers of food choice and key components of food insecurity – especially in our current cost-of-living crisis. With few Australians consuming diets consistent with the recommendations of evidence-based dietary guidelines, and greater prevalence of diet-related disease among low socioeconomic groups, the cost of a healthy diet is particularly of concern.
This presentation will describe the rationale for, and methods of, the Healthy Diets ASAP (Australian Standardised Affordability and Pricing) protocol, its adaptation to reflect the lived experience of vulnerable groups, and results including the cost and affordability of healthy and habitual (unhealthy) diets in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and other challenges to our food system.
The webinar will be held live on Apr 20, 2023 12:30 PM AEST.
This is a webinar for the benefit of NSA members only. NSA members will need to log in to the members only section of the website to reach the registration page.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
