Science meets Parliament is an initiative supported and designed by Science and Technology Australia. Over the last 21 years, Science meets Parliament brings together Australia’s leading STEM professionals and parliamentarians to discuss and promote science, technology and mathematics.
In 2024, the Science Meets Parliament program will be held on 20th–21st March 2024 in person at Australian Parliament House, with an online training session on 13th March 2024.
The online training will include sessions such as ‘Practice your pitch’, and ‘Preparing to meet a Parliamentarian’.
In person sessions will include leading MPs and Senators who will talk about what science means to them and their party, why Australia needs science, their policy offerings to strengthen science and the science workforce, and advice for scientists on engaging with politicians and the Parliament to inform policy and legislation.
