NSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is the pre-eminent nutrition science conference in Australia. The location of the meeting rotates around Australia and New Zealand with every third meeting being a joint meeting of the Nutrition Society of Australia and the Nutrition Society of New Zealand. The 46th NSA Annual Scientific Meeting was held in Perth, 29 Nov - 2 Dec. The theme was Sustainable nutrition for a healthy life.

The plenary sessions showcased sustainable food supplies and food security, health across the lifespan, cultural food perspectives, and contemporary issues in animal nutrition. The Editorial Board review abstracts for the Annual Scientific Meeting, oversees the publication of abstracts in a peer-reviewed scientific journal and is chaired by the Honorary Editor of NSA.
