NSA Student Awards & Travel Grants

A)  If you present at the National Annual Scientific Meeting

Student Travel Grants for ASM

These cash grants are provided for students who are presenting their research in oral or poster form at the national Annual Scientific Meeting. They are based on the airfare from your city to the city where the conference is taking place (though it should be noted that NSA provides only part of the standard air-fare).

Successful applicants receive their cheques in November.

Prizes for best oral and poster presentations at ASM

NSA awards six prizes for the best presentations by student NSA members at the Annual Scientific Meeting. Three are for oral presentations, and three for poster presentations. Students are now eligible for these prizes anytime during their time as a student. However, you can only win one oral and one poster prize during your student period.
