Applying for Registration
Please note that registration with NSA does not allow you to obtain a provider number with Medicare or any other health care provider.

What is the route to gaining registration as an Associate Nutritionist (ANutr)?
If you have overseas qualifications, you will need to have them recognised before submitting your application.
This can be done by Australian Government: Australian Education International
If you have a science based Bachelor’s degree majoring in nutrition, click HERE
If you have a science based Bachelor’s degree not majoring in nutrition, click HERE
If you have any other type of non science Bachelor’s degree, click HERE
Submitting an application
Before submitting your application, please make sure that you have read all the background information, including the Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any further queries about your qualifications and experience, contact Helen Smith at the National Secretariat.
STEP ONE:
Make sure that you have the necessary documents to support your application. If you have overseas qualifications, these must be verified by the Australian Government Australian Education International. For further details, click HERE.
STEP TWO:
Fill in the application form for registration.

Send the completed form, along with your supporting documentation and your payment, to:
