Metabolic Effects of Saturated Fats

This free full-day symposium, jointly organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board and NSA – Melbourne Group, will take place at the State Library (Entry 3 – Conference Centre Entrance).

Following registrations from 8.30am, the symposium will open at 9.30am with welcome remarks by Professor Andrew Sinclair and an opening address by the chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board. Speakers from Australia, Malaysia and London include Paul Nestel, Andrew Sinclair, Tom Sanders, Lindsay Brown, Androulla Filippou, Teng Kim Tiu and Kalanithi Nesaretnam, starting with current thinking on saturated fats then presenting a range of research on their metabolic effects. Refreshments will follow at 4.15pm.
