Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)

DAFF has a wide range of responsibilties in relation to food production. Among their many publications is the annual Australian Food Statistics, a statistical overview of the Australian food industry.

Food Processing and Manufacturing

Australian Food and Grocery Council (AGFC)

To quote their website, "AFGC is the leading national organisation representing Australia’s $102 billion food, drink and grocery manufacturing industry".

Food Safety and Food Regulation

Food Standards Australia New Zealand

FSANZ's roles include the Food Standards Code, which covers eg food use of ingredients, processing aids, colourings, additives, vitamins and minerals; and food labelling. It also develops standards for primary production and processing, and food hygiene.
