Conference 200830 November - 3 December 2008The 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Nutrition Society of Australia was held in South Australia at the Stamford Grand Hotel, Glenelg. It was hosted by the Adelaide Group of the Nutrition Society of Australia.
The aim of the Society is to advance the scientific study of nutrition and its applications to people and animals. Today this area of science is more exciting than ever, and the Society has a major role in disseminating high quality nutritional science amongst its members and to the community.
A range of invited speakers from overseas, including David Benton from the United Kingdom, Prof Connie Weaver from the USA and David Mela, Margriet Westerterp-Plantenga and Klaas Westerterp from The Netherlands, as well as speakers from around Australia presented the latest information on a range of important nutritional areas, including Aboriginal and public health.
